OUR STORY

The name says it all!! Island Talk Tees was created to celebrate the richness of language and culture in the Caribbean Islands of the West Indies.

Yes it's true, the islands share many similarities such as gorgeous beaches, beautiful mountains, warm breezes, plenty of sunshine and waist moving music! However each island has its own vibe and flavor, and language is no different. They each have different names for the same things, their own phrases, their own dialect and their own accents. It's "Skin-up" in Grenada, but "Chinet" in Trinidad! It's "Cou-Cou" in Barbados, but "Turn-cormeal" in Jamaica! But Mangoes are Mangoes everywhere!!!! (Put a bunch of different islanders in a room, or in a relationship, and you'll see how alike and totally different they are!)

Caribbean language and culture is absolutely fascinating and Island Talk Tees was founded to celebrate the beautiful words and culture in a way "Only We Understand".
